QUALIFICATIONS AND CORE PRINCIPLES FOR CERTIFICATION

Certified Physician/Specialist

In order to be designated as a Certified Physician/Specialist in Post-Procedure Recovery by the Post-Procedure Research Institute, Inc. (“PPRI”), each applicant should meet and continuously maintain the following criteria, as determined and verified by PPRI in its sole and reasonable discretion:

  1. Professional Standing and Licensure
The physician should hold an active, unrestricted license to practice medicine in at least one jurisdiction within the United States or an equivalent international jurisdiction recognized by PPRI. The physician should be in good standing with all applicable medical boards, regulatory authorities, and professional organizations, with no material disciplinary actions that would impair professional credibility.
  2. Certification and Recognition by PPRI
The physician should be formally reviewed, approved, and certified by PPRI, based upon demonstrated expertise, clinical experience, and commitment to advancing the science and practice of post-procedure recovery. Such certification shall be evidenced by written designation issued by PPRI.
  3. Demonstrated Clinical Engagement in Post-Procedure Recovery
The physician should actively treat patients in a clinical setting where post-procedural recovery is a meaningful component of care. The physician should demonstrate familiarity with, and application of, emerging recovery protocols, therapeutic modalities, and patient management strategies consistent with PPRI principles.
  4. Educational and Research Participation
The physician should reasonably participate, on an ongoing basis, in PPRI-sponsored or approved educational initiatives, research activities, clinical discussions, or protocol development programs. This includes contributing insights, data (where appropriate), or experiential knowledge to further the advancement of the field.
  5. Adherence to PPRI Protocols and Standards
The physician should agree to adhere to all applicable PPRI guidelines, protocols, ethical standards, and best practices relating to post-procedure recovery, patient safety, and clinical integrity. Any deviation must be clinically justified and documented.
  6. Ethical and Professional Conduct
The physician should maintain the highest standards of ethical and professional conduct, including compliance with all applicable laws and regulations relating to patient care, anti-kickback statutes, fee-splitting prohibitions, and professional independence.
  7. Continuing Qualification and Renewal
Certification shall be subject to periodic review and renewal, as determined by PPRI. Continued certification is contingent upon ongoing compliance with all criteria set forth herein, as well as continued meaningful participation in PPRI activities.

NOTE: Physical certificates are issued exclusively by PPRI.
